MiABQ Millennial Project

The MiABQ Project encourages the activity, engagement, and vision of Albuquerque's Millennial generation in making downtown a vibrant, revitalized community and the focus of innovation, art, and activity in our City. MiABQ was drawn together on March 5th via the Downtown Action Team, the Historic District Improvement Company, and the City of Albuquerque Department of Economic Development. At that time, and at the invitation of Mayor Richard J. Berry, three committees were formed to oversee select initiatives chosen by the majority of the group: the Permitting & Regulations Committee, the Green Committee, and MARCOM Committee. The work of these committees and their recommendations are summarized in the link above, detailed in the full attached report, and serve as a jumping off point for City improvements and a framework for future MiABQ projects.

MiABQ Millennial Project

With an eye towards contributing to a truly robust and healthy urban ecosystem – one that inspires our contemporaries to live, work, play and stay Downtown – the research and recommendations presented herein focus on cultivating special events, small business and residential development; summarized above and detailed in the full attached report, they are meant to serve both as a jumping off point for City-driven improvements and as a blueprint for our committee’s forthcoming projects:
